By successfully making a jump, players can then angle their bike while airborne so that it hits the ground in the right position and get a temporary speed boost. While there are places on the tracks that will allow your engine to cool off, you'll probably want to stick with the normal pace if you want to get a good time.Įach track is composed of four lanes, all of which have a variety of obstacles, ranging from a typical mud pile to a hill that you can jump off. Most people are probably going to end up using the latter option the most, it does have some consequences seeing as it heats up your bike's engine, and once the temperature reaches a certain point, your bike will lose a tremendous amount of speed. Your bike has two speeds: fast and very fast. The main goal in each race is to attempt to cross the finish line in the shortest amount of time possible, while at the same time avoiding other racers and obstacles that pollute each track. But there's a slew of popular characters in Square's stable that honestly make way more sense.The original Excitebike has always been held close to the heart’s of gamers who grew up during the Nintendo Entertainment System era, and for good reason, too. like these are all way more popular, iconic, and "important" characters than Geno. When you put him up against Sora or Terra or Erdrick or Sephiroth. I definitely think he's in the realm of possibility, but unlike every other third party character, he is in no way iconic or actually, well, popular. But at the end of the day it doesn't mean that is absolutely enough to get him in the game. And that fact alone has spurred him to become somewhat relevant in smash fan circles, and it's why we're still talking about him now. But really, it's unneeded for an "accurate representation" of Sora. I also think that if anything gets an exception to the video game rule, it's Mickey Mouse anyway. All of his acrobatic/aerial keyblade combat is completely Disney character-free. There's at least a dozen Final Fantasy characters alone, including several others from FF7 if you want to say only FF7 characters will get in because of how it's labeled or whatever (an argument I've seen here bfore).īut Sora is absolutely the biggest character they could put in from Square, and there's no reason he -needs- the Disney characters to be accurate. He's not even close to being someone iconic like a myriad of Square characters.
Geno is super obscure outside of smash fan circles. I just don't think anything here is accurate.
